You guys rock!

A parting shot from the roof of The Cove, looking westward down the Leland River.

The third boat on the right is THE JOY, the chub boat that the bands used to play on when the Here Comes The Sun Party first started in the mid-1980's. By the mid-1990's, Lake Michigan & Leland River levels had fallen so much that The Joy could not make it up the shallow water anymore and the band started playing on the south deck. The bugs Beddow band was the last band to play on The Joy in May 1998.

The boat's owner Ross Lang, died during a tragic fishing accident in the spring of 2001, had named the boat after his wife, Joy, whom was postmaster of Leland for thirty years.
