will be in Chicago with the HMS Band & Choir field trip
The 2010 HMS Choir & Band Chicago trip was a whirlwind of fun. We left HMS at 7:00 am on Friday, May 7th and later that morning explored Navy Pier, shopped at the Magnificent Mile, and then had dinner and a show at the Medieval Times Castle (see photo). Afterwards, we swam for hours at our motel pool. We woke up early Saturday and after having a nice breakfast, went to Millennium Park where we saw a beautiful fountain and were in the middle of a Celtic Festival! We had lunch at the Museum of Science & Industry before traveling to the Briar Street Theatre to see the Blue Man Group. We boarded the bus and viewed the Chicago skyline one last time before heading for home, where we arrived at 12:30 am. Many thanks the trip's sponsor, Mrs. Gelfund, and to the parents who chaperoned and to Mr. Beddow for helping out. A great time was had by all.
